Copenhagen hosted over 80 of the most influential buyers and more than 130 suppliers when The Meetings Space held their 8th MICE business forum in the city from the 23rd-25th of February.
The Meetings Space is one of those events that keeps getting better every time and when they held their forum in Copenhagen for the first time it was no different. The forum impressed delegates as well as The Meetings Space event organisers.
“The catering was fantastic at both offsite dinner venues and in fact throughout the entire conference,” said Senior Account Manager, Avenue Events.
“You have a beautiful city with a rich history and architecture to impress even the most well-travelled delegates. What tops it for me is the friendliness of the people and their positive attitude… CPH Lounge created a homely atmosphere, ‘hygge’, around the conference space. Their eye for detail and the quality of their designer furniture is something special!” said Director, Principal Global Events.
The Meetings Space was held at Scandic Copenhagen where CPH Lounge provided furniture to give a Danish ‘hygge’ atmosphere. The welcome dinner was held at Øksnehallen and Hadler DMC was responsible for activities and entertainment. Hadler DMC was also in charge of the sightseeing tour and the buyer post program. The TMS Party was held at the Langelinie Pavillonen.
The Meetings Space Managing Director, Lorraine Hall and Operations Manager, Kat Oakley James commented on their experience in Copenhagen and we have listed some of the highlights below:
“The experience at Scandic Copenhagen exceeded our expectations at every turn. We soon realised that everyone went the extra mile because that is just how you like to do things in Copenhagen. We got used to everything being possible and easy… The meeting space was simply excellent with high-tech features as standard and the coolest technical support team around!” said Kat Oakley James.
"Hadler orchestrated one of the coolest opening evenings in the old meat packing district which perfectly reflected the destination and set the mood for the 3 days. They then delivered unique solutions all along the way which exceeded expectations - exactly what most of us crave in a DMC! His team has a similar professionalism and passion" commented Lorraine Hall.
“I have been a huge fan of this venue since my first visit: spectacular, incredibly versatile, technically whizzy, easy access, super fashionable location and a really interesting history. I would stop there except that the team was also fantastic with a real “can-do” attitude: it was a complete delight to work with all of them!” said Kat Oakley James.
"CPH Lounge create small worlds across all event types and they are a very, very class act. They produced a stunning selection of furniture and dressings completely in tune with our reputation for inspiration and excellence,” commented Kat Oakley James.
"We fell in love instantly with the Langelinie Pavillonen: this stunning water side setting is next to the Little Mermaid and is an iconic architectural masterpiece. This venue is another CPH organiser’s dream. It is an incredibly versatile venue with the coolest events team you are ever likely to meet: they get it. It was a masterclass in working with people who love what they do,” said Lorraine Hall.
“Working with Copenhagen Convention Bureau was a wonderful, wonderful experience: simply superb professional support. The team is highly experienced in all elements of the global MICE market: They know their product intimately and their enthusiasm is infectious,” said Lorraine Hall.
“The Meetings Space is one of the best forums we have attended so far. Excellent quality of buyers and a programme that offers a great balance between meetings and networking. We look forward to attending the next edition of The Meetings Space in September," said Anne Nikolaides, Copenhagen Convention Bureau.
